Slaveregisters.org aims to collect, store and make accessible to the public the registers of enslaved men and women generated in the former Portuguese colonies in Africa. Collaborative research and information sharing among scholars have the potential to improve our understanding of slavery in Africa as well as the experiences of the enslaved.
